My name is Carolyn Rains and this is my 25th year of teaching.
As an educator, I have had a 4th grade classroom, reading classes for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders, taught teachers about a variety of topics, such as using technology to reach students. For a second year I will be working with students in our MacBook Lab.
Due to the trainings, seminars, symposiums and conferences I've been able to attend in the last few years concerning the area of educational technology I now feel better prepared to reach students than ever before! Students already know or learn easily how to use today's digital tools. One part of my job is to teach critical thinking skills and understanding the importance of global communication, while doing this is a safe environment.
